The Boston Celtics secured a dominant 123–105 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. Jayson Tatum led the charge, scoring 35 points on 23 shots in just 31 minutes, helping Boston secure their third consecutive win.
Up next, the Celtics face the surging Los Angeles Lakers again on Saturday night, but this time on ABC in a highly anticipated rematch.
Tatum’s Unexpected ABC Promo Catches TNT Crew Off Guard
During a postgame interview on TNT, sideline reporter Jared Greenberg asked Tatum about the upcoming matchup. However, Tatum’s response was more promotional than expected, leading to a hilarious reaction from the Turner Sports crew.
“It’s gonna be a fun one, man,” Tatum said. “ABC. Celtics versus Lakers. It’s what the fans want to see.”
As soon as Tatum mentioned ABC, Kevin Harlan and the TNT crew couldn’t help but react in amusement, clearly surprised that the Celtics star was promoting a game on a competing network.
Tatum quickly realized the situation, laughed it off, and apologized before heading to the locker room.
The moment quickly went viral, leaving fans amused at the unintentional plug. Hopefully, sports commentator Colin Cowherd doesn’t get wind of this!
