Multiple Wildfires Erupt in the Carolinas, Forcing Evacuations
March 2, 2025 – North and South Carolina – Multiple wildfires have erupted across the Carolinas, prompting evacuations as firefighters battle the rapidly spreading flames. Dry and windy conditions contributed to the intensifying blazes, forcing emergency responses in both states.

In Polk County, North Carolina, a fire has already burned 400 acres with zero containment, according to Jeremy Waldrop of the North Carolina Fire Service. Officials fear structures may be at risk, with damage assessments planned for Sunday morning.
