BJP Sweeps Haryana Civic Polls: CM Saini Calls It a Stamp of Approval on Government Policies
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has registered a landslide victory in the Haryana civic polls, winning 9 out of 10 municipal corporations, including key regions like Gurugram, Sirsa, Faridabad, Panipat, Ambala, and Sonipat. In a historic upset, the BJP also managed to breach the Congress stronghold in Rohtak, while an independent candidate secured victory in Manesar.
Reacting to the results, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini called the victory a stamp of approval on the BJP government’s policies. He emphasized that the “triple engine government”—with the BJP in power at the Centre, state, and local bodies—will accelerate development across Haryana and contribute to the vision of a “Viksit Haryana, Viksit Bharat.”
BJP’s Massive Victory in Mayoral Elections-Government
According to the final results, BJP candidates secured dominant wins in 9 out of 10 mayoral seats, defeating Congress and other opponents in Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Karnal, Rohtak, Sonipat, and Panipat. The ruling party also maintained a strong lead in Yamunanagar.
Haryana Minister Vipul Goel, speaking in the State Assembly, highlighted the overwhelming support for the BJP, stating,
“Our mayoral candidates have won with a huge majority in nine municipal corporations. In Faridabad, our candidate secured the highest vote margin in the country for a mayoral post.”
He further added that over 90% of BJP-backed councillors had won in the elections, solidifying the party’s dominance at the local governance level.

CM Saini reiterated the BJP’s commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. He stressed the crucial role of urban local bodies in achieving this goal and expressed confidence that under Modi’s leadership, both Haryana and India will witness unprecedented development.
BJP’s Promise to Women Under ‘Lado Lakshmi Yojana-Government
Addressing the BJP’s poll promise, Saini assured that the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, which provides ₹2,100 financial assistance to women, will be fulfilled without fail. He affirmed,
“This is Narendra Modi ji’s guarantee, this is BJP’s guarantee, and we will fulfill it.”
With this resounding victory, the BJP has further strengthened its hold in Haryana, setting the stage for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
